Meteorologist Mike Spiel

Mike Spiel was born and raised in the Town of Poughkeepsie.  Mike and his three sisters all went through the Arlington School District and graduated from Arlington High School.  Mike still keeps in contact with the former principal of Arlington High School, Mr. Don Nelson, and his family.  After graduation
from Arlington High School, Mike attended St. Louis University where he earned a B.S. in Meteorology.  Mike’s favorite weather forecaster while growing up was Gordon Barnes.  He worked at WCBS in New York for many years.  Speaking for forecasting, since graduating from St. Louis University, Mike has worked from the “famous weather tower”  doing the weather for the Hudson Valley.

While not working in the weather tower, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Tara and kids  - Zachary and Rachel.  Mike is a die hard fan of the Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers.  Needless to say, there hasn’t been much to root for recently for most of  these teams!
